Grant Cushing - Founder and President

Grant Cushing founded Brownfield Group in 1994 and grew the company to become one of the first national brownfield development companies in North America. Raising and investing $130 million in the acquisition, cleanup, redevelopment and resale of more than 100 properties in 13 states and Canada. The company focus on renewable energy began with siting solar and waste-to-energy facilities on underutilized properties.  

 

Mr. Cushing manages all day to day operations including business development, strategic partnerships, site acquisition and development.  Mr. Cushing has a degree from Middlebury College and a Master's of Science degree from the State University of New York.

Gina Sarkis - Director of Business Operations

Ms. Sarkis is co-founder of the company and has served for 17 years as the Director of Business Operations. Ms. Sarkis oversees the company’s general and administrative business management functions including serving as the financial controller.  Additionally, she oversees corporate counsel, legal activities, risk management, human resource management, vendor management, corporate communications, and other administrative activities related to the company’s day-to-day operations and project development activities.  Ms. Sarkis has a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University.
